 Dorian's birth was seen as a bad omen, a damning confirmation of the [[dramatis_personae:npcs:del_amore_family:start#the_del_amore_family_curse|Del'Amore Family Curse]]. It started small, with the usual murmurs surrounding the circumstances of his birth, and with every disappearance or illness that occurred near the Del'Amore Manor, the townspeople became slowly more convinced that their woes were brought on by Dorian's presence. Sensing the public perception shifting from subconscious suspicion towards conscious vilification, Moria met with Dorian to discuss their options. As was the way with superstition, it was only a matter of time before the townsfolk gathered enough "evidence" against Dorian to begin causing trouble. Reluctantly, Dorian understood his options meant that, for the sake of his family and the city, he had to leave Greensgate.
 Officially, his departure was for a pilgrimage, but it allowed him to disappear on the road. In the years following his "exile", Dorian got by as a doctor, plying his medical knowledge and magics as a traveling healer under various pseudonyms.
