| + | We regrouped and gave our instructions to the crews we hired to join us. Once we were sure progress setting up camp and securing our immediate area from the outside would be in good hands, a group of us descended into the mine to ensure no surprises would be popping out to eat one of us in our sleep. Between more tentacles on legs and spiders with giant mushrooms, it seems safe to say the mine was full of presumbaly Bloomed creatures. I could feel Lucretia' | ||

| + | There were a few hiccups along the way. Zarn's owl scouted for us, but ended up getting caught in the aforementioned mushroom spider webs. Given the nature of the webs and the spores the spiders released, I was thankful Gerrie had brought air helmets for us to wear down here. The webs proved exceptionally flammable, which was good for dealing with the spider problem, but without knowing what sort of supplies or resources may be further in the webbing, and general concerns about fires and mines, we hurriedly worked to stop the flames from doing too much damage. | ||

| + | It wasn't all bad, though. We found some documents in the mine that were surprisingly still legible, and there were the remains of what I can only assume were crew that had been in the mine at the time, along with strange canisters. One such container had ruptured, and a glowing wall of squishy crystals grew up from it. Gerrie' | ||

| + | After recovering his bird, Zarn and Xander regrouped with the rest of the party rather than pick a fight with the Arachnoceps. For its part, the fire that was burning the web started moving into the chamber making the Arachnocep hesitate to fight. Moving back down the main tunnel the party found another area that was glowing blue, with a seemingly dead Arachnocep down another tunnel. Ignoring that until the fire and immediate danger was settled, the group formed up at the mouth of the chamber where the owl got caught. From there they lured in 3 Arachnoceps and dispatched them all without receiving any damage. Zarn then made efforts to contain the fire so he could collect some of the web later. With that area secure, the group moved back to the blue glowing part of the cave. Dorian approached the glowing wall to discover it was not stone, it was instead some kind of growth leading from a cracked, ancient oxygen tank. There still existed some magical blue fluid inside the tank that the growth originated from. The growth covered most of the cavern wall and Gerrie walked up and touched it revealing it was soft, maybe even organic, and emitting a large amount of oxygen. Additionally a body was found close to the tank, long dead, the skeletal remains were contained within a broken suit that appears to be of similar make to the tank containing the liquid. Tiny specks covered the body that upon closer inspection revealed to be rust monster eggs. Nearby a long dead rust monster' | ||
