Iskra is familiar with Tarquin. Seems conflicted/sad when we told them about the situation with the exiles
Claims Tarquin would never do anything to us or our family
Tarquin is “of the Vityaz”, a culture similar to the Amish. Insular, strict rules/culture. Dedicated to the crown and nobility, to the point of intense worship. 40k God Emperor worship. Nobility = Saints, Royalty = Angels, King/Queen = Consort of the God of the land.
Duskwood → Darkwood: Vityaz tradition to prefix names, indicates life stage. Dawn → Day → Dusk → Dark
They will still turn against nobility and royalty if they believe those individuals are a danger to the God of the land. Happened during the Great Fracture
Vityaz are a small population
Vityaz view the forest as an infection in the god, a blight that corrupts as it appears
Iskra is familiar with a plant to counteract the Exile's devils blood poison, but it is rare. There's not enough to reliably trade for.
In order to identify if there's devil's blood in the forest, we need a sample we could bring into the Forest to see how it Blooms
Plant is called “Celestial Tears”
The knife Iskra gave us pings with lots of types of magic when seen with detect magic
Iskra gives a bundle to Lucretia, asking she give it to Tarquin with the message that “It was made of nothing from the Forest”
A carved short sword made of normal elk antler. Not as ornate as ours, but carved with a flower of Theremia and a royal seal.
Iskra says “I understand. I wish things could be different.”
“Please let Tarquin know that no part of this or what was used to create it was touched by the Forest. And please tell him that I understand, but still wish things could be different.”
An old friend taught Iskra how to carve/make knives.
Tarquin worships nobility. Mary hates nobility. They probably weren't going to get along just from that. We should ask Mary her side of why they split
Tarquin arrived through the gate walking casually, with supplies. Very strange, since most are thrown through.
Spoke with Gardener about working with the Whistlers to try and solve growing Celestial Tears
We return to camp. Things are peaceful, with some song. We have a pleasant evening, with dinner, singing, and drunken games
Dagger has Divination, Conjuration, touch of Necromancy as high spike amongst all the schools
Session ends on the Changeling approaching Xander
