As night began falling over camp everyone settled down for the night. Dorian and Lucretia began establishing a workshop and exploring one of the bodies from the earlier combat. Xander grabbed Mikael and started checking the carts for any irregularities. Spud looked into how the goats were getting along. Zarn had finished resummoning his familiar and sat quietly by his own fire. Tim, the last person sitting at the large fire at the center of camp, was enjoying his relaxation with his friend. He didn’t recall someone sitting there a minute ago, but he also did not recall not having this friend. A profound sense of isolation came over him as the rest of the camp washed away into blackness so only he, his friend, and the area around the fire pit were visible to him. Then his friend asked if he’d like to play a game. At the same time Lucretia and Dorian began getting spoken to by a local that wanted to give them some food. She came across a bit clumsy so her lateness could be excused, but Dorian and Lucretia were not impressed with her offer and asked her to return at a later time, preferably during the day. The woman then got unnaturally angry, and dashed the salt line that had been spread around the perimeter of the camp. A creature appeared above the woman that had black tendrils attached to the girl. With barking happening in the background Dorian and Lucretia shouted to the camp that they were under attack. Again at the same time Francis approached Spud and spoke with her about the goats. Her dog Shuck became alarmed by something outside the salt circle to the south. She chased the dog to the camp perimeter with Spud, Xander, Mikael and Zarn following to see what was the matter. One of the outpost members was out there and called out to Francis. She became slack jawed while Shuck went ballistic and tackled her. The group then became aware of a mass of creatures baying for blood in the trees to the west of camp. Zarn took a pot shot at them, then, all at once, they began sprinting to the north. The group began to run north to contain the creatures and join with Dorian and Lucretia. Zarn, having cast detect magic, looks to the center of camp where the campfire was supposed to be and finds a magic dome in its place flickering in and out of reality. Strangely, Spud and Xander seemed to unconsciously run around it. Inside the dome, Tim had begun playing a game of dice with his soul as the buy in.
