Dorian Notes

Avery's divination magic is bottling up in her, rather than radiating off like it should

  • Her drawing appears to be a small outlet for her divination
  • This is a crack, the magic seeping out in the form of her drawing

Her drawing appears to be the woman Tim saw in the rewind

  • Odd sharp lines, curves. Long, dark feathers that are coming out of her
  • The version Tim saw didn't have the feathers

Divination magic is normally more managed. The user taps into it to divine something, rather than it building up and breaking out

Tim asks Avery a series of questions for future investments, to which Avery begins answering

Avery has a necklace that seems to be the origin of the abjuration magic

  • It is burning hot as Tim tries to cast Identify on it
  • Has a high-level dispel magic effect, constantly dispelling the magic of the wearer
  • It has seemingly been running 24/7 since she was a baby

Lucretia manages to make an attachement for the necklace with unobtanium to bolster it, which helps get the divination back under control

The next day, the party talks with Avery about what happened

  • Avery doesn't seem to notice the mural she drew, nor the change to her amulet
  • She mentions someone named Talbot
    • She pulls out a dwarvish locket with a picture of an even younger Avery and a scarred dwarf
  • Her mother had more control over her visions than Avery does
    • Talbot encouraged her to keep it secret
  • Talbot had Avery go to Bellrose to keep her from her “husband”

* The Duke of Goldenward, Duke Aro Evander. He took a wife a couple of years ago, and allegedly has an heir

  • Avery is a high elf, Aslem is half wood elf. The duke is human.
    • Aslem's mother died when he was born, and was left in Avery's care
  • Talbot told her that her family had some connection to the duke, the name is important. Koeman
